Dear Friends and Family:
Our lives seem somewhat upside down these days. The trip to Ukraine was a real blessing and success from my viewpoint. But the jet lag was a real drag for several days after my return. And after two weeks away from Marty, I only got to see her two days before she left with Debbye and Becki for Pennsylvania to visit Beth. Then Amy, Laura, Rachel, and I went to Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference and camped in a tent for a week. I’ll be glad to get to whatever normal is going to be for this time at home; hopefully, this hectic schedule isn’t going to be it.
Mission to Ukraine
God’s blessing on the ministry in Ukraine is readily apparent. The breadth of the work being done by our mission surprised me. Four pastors are being supported by Mission to Ukraine [MTU]. They are pastoring churches that have been started as a result of the work over the last seven years. Over 100 babies have been saved from abortion, many women have made professions of faith in Christ, and American families have adopted about 15 children with our assistance. Support has been provided by groups in Australia, Norway, and other countries as well. Help has been given to orphanages, homeless shelters, hospitals, and many crippled children.
Free English classes for local doctors meet at the center with a Ukrainian national instructor four nights each week throughout the school year. Because over sixty doctors are enrolled,
