Highlights and Lessons Learned this Term from Marty’s Perspective

Dear Friends ands Family:

Yes, I really did come to Kenya this year even though you have not heard from me. I will make up for that shortage now. You maybe sorry I wrote. It has been an incredibly full, rewarding, and challenging term – sounds like life doesn’t it? As always, the Lord was faithful to guide, enable, strengthen, and correct me as needed. Ps 16:5-8 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. NIV

Highlights and Blessings

I want to begin by sharing just a few special highlights. It was an incredible joy to have some of our children and grandchildren visit us this year. Beth, Pat, Lisa, Elissa, Nathan, and Katie labored beside us in every ministry opportunity God opened for us. What a thrill to see our children love the Kenyan people and become so enthusiastically involved in God’s work here. We also got a chance to show them some of God’s beautiful creation in Kenya.
