December 2005

Dear Friends and Family:

We praise God for the safe arrival of a healthy son born to Sharon and Jon Jarrett on December 23 -- our 39th wedding anniversary. [What a gift!] Asher Quinn [meaning 5th] weighing in at 7 lb 10 oz. rounds out the starting five for the basketball team for that family.

The proud grandparents and Amy and Rachel will be traveling to Fort Mill, South Carolina, hopefully on December 30 -- depending on the arrival of Lisa and Pat's little one. We'd like to spend a week getting acquainted with Asher and enjoing the rest of the family before returning to Kenya on Jan. 14.

Please pray for Grandma Marty as she struggles with leaving these two new grandchildren and all the rest of the family.

God is faithful!

Marty, for the Jarretts

Merry Christmas from the Jarretts 2005

The Christmas picture of our family has been posted on our website at http://www.jarrettsministry.org

There are also new pictures from the Ukraine trip this summer. A "hard copy" of this letter and the Christmas picture is also being mailed eventually to many of you whom we have on our snail mail list.

We had a good term in Kenya from January until the end of May. We were gratified to see that three of our orphanages were becoming well established and a fourth was nearing completion. Tenwek Hospital continues to grow, and the ministry there is highly effective in extending God’s Kingdom. Kenya continues to be the main focus of our missionary work, and we anticipate a return there on January 14, 2006.

Paul, Laura, Amy, and Alicia Bechtle went to Ukraine in August for nearly two weeks and had a good time of ministry in a summer camp for disabled children and their families. Paul is still an active member of the board of directors for Mission to Ukraine.

Paul had the opportunity to practice medicine in the United States for the first time since 2000. He has been able
